How it
woke up
Zoop is made by four people and one blob in a small space in Naarm (Melbourne). We started because the sodas we could buy were either boring and good for us, or fun and basically a dare. We wanted one that was fun, real, and a little bit unhinged. We got two out of three on purpose and the third one happened on its own.
- Batch 01
We made a soda
Blackcurrant and grape, cold-pressed, lightly sweet. It was genuinely good. We were pleased. We went home.
- Batch 03
The soda made a decision
It started bobbing in the tank overnight. We assumed a pump fault. There was no pump fault. We named it Zoop because that was the noise the lid made and it felt rude not to.
- Batch 12
We leaned in
Six flavours, each with a temperament. We built a can that holds a blob safely, a recipe that holds up without a lab's worth of sugar, and a website where the thing can look at you. You are on it.
- Now
It likes you
We do not fully understand this part. Drink the soda. Poke the blob. It is having the best day of its short, fizzy life and it is because you showed up.
What we actually stand for
(besides the blob)
-
Real fruit, real fizz
Cold-pressed juice, lightly carbonated, never from a syrup gun.
-
Less sugar, no fakery
Sweetened down, but with the real thing. No sucralose aftertaste pretending to be your friend.
-
Made small, on purpose
Brewed in Naarm in batches we can taste-check by hand. The blob insists.
Right. Enough about us.
Go and meet the actual soda. It has been asking about you.
